What you’ll do: * Contribute to our product roadmap and mission - to bring everyone the inspiration to create a life they love - using data and exploratory analysis to understand user behavior and trends, and identify opportunities for product innovation. * Design and implement core metrics that guide the team efforts and help design and evaluate A/B experiments that drive these metrics. * Explore alternative experimentation techniques to help internal teams evaluate their ideas faster. * Work cross-functionally to build and communicate key insights, and collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and researchers to help build the next experiences on Pinterest. What we’re looking for: * Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, applied sciences, computer science or related field. * Ability to manipulate large data sets with high dimensionality and complexity; fluency in SQL and a scripting language (Python or R) * experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches including in the fields of Machine Learning, Statistical Modeling, Forecasting, Econometrics or other related fields * Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain learnings to both technical and non-technical partners * Strong critical thinking when working with AI-generated suggestions, with a clear approach to validating correctness, performance, security, and maintainability. * Ability to connect data analysis to real business problems, in order to impact business performance. In-Office Requirement Statement: * We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we’re not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection * This role may require you to be located near an office for in-person collaboration, and therefore may need to be located a commutable distance from one of our Pinterest offices. #LI-HYBRID  At Pinterest we believe the workplace should be equitable, inclusive, and inspiring for every employee.
